On 10 November 2025 the Institute for Tourism, Education and Management – ITEM successfully organized the national Multiplier Event within the Erasmus+ project “BARISTA – Validation and Transparency of Barista Training Skills”.
The event brought together over 30 participants including teachers, trainers, educators, representatives of hospitality schools, students and institutional partners, all united by a shared mission to shape the future of barista training and strengthen the recognition of this profession in North Macedonia.
During the inspiring session all key project results were presented and discussed:
Experiences were shared by several participants who took part in the BARISTA training mobilities held in Turkey and Italy.
Special attention was given to the BARISTA eCampus Digital Platform which offers an engaging learning experience through interactive tools, instructional videos, quizzes and practical training resources for both trainers and learners.
Participants expressed strong interest in integrating the Barista profession into the national educational framework, highlighting that the developed curriculum could serve as a model for modern vocational education in the hospitality sector.
An open and inspiring discussion followed, filled with ideas, experiences and suggestions for enhancing vocational programs and promoting a culture of quality, creativity and innovation in hospitality training.
The event once again demonstrated that BARISTA is more than a project – it is a European movement dedicated to building professionalism, creativity and passion for the craft of coffee.
